Analysts are closing up 2013 by taking a look at the trends in technology, noting which services did well and which ones ranked at the bottom of the barrel. Market intelligence from Infonetics suggests that 2013 is a good year for carrier VoIP and IMS gear, as both are up 52 percent from a year ago.

“2013 is turning into a banner year for the IMS equipment market due largely to mobile operators in the U.S., Japan, and South Korea purchasing gear for voice over LTE (VoLTE),” noted Diane Myers, principal analyst for VoIP, UC, and IMS at Infonetics Research. “While many of these networks won’t go live until next year, operators are purchasing and deploying enough capacity to make sure they don’t fall short upon launch.”

While this forecast focuses on service provider VoIP and IMS equipment subscribers, it also indicates how business VoIP is doing in general for businesses all over the globe.

Business VoIP reaps many benefits for businesses of all sizes. The most important benefit of VoIP technology is its cost efficiency, which in turn adds to the savings of consumers and companies using it. Generally, it can save almost half of the traditional phone bills, and sometimes more. For smaller organizations in particular, the savings can translate into a lot.

VoIP can be invaluable. Conversely, business VoIP providers see the value in its business customers, mostly because they create opportunity.

The demand for affordable, feature-rich IP phone systems will continue to increase as organizations look to streamline communications, improve collaboration, and support mobility, all while saving a buck. Business VoIP providers can meet these needs by providing cost-effective voice services that deliver collaboration and mobility features that traditional phone services cannot match.

Infonetics’ research is aligned with the VoIP market, proving that time and again, VoIP has withstood the years where other technologies have dwindled.

For businesses, VoIP means a way to generate revenue by more effective communication with customers while meeting their needs within budget. Business VoIP has revolutionized an array of commercial entities and business sectors, making it an optimal choice for the business owner.
