The use of VoIP within businesses throughout the world is growing. Earlier this year in fact, Infonetics Research revealed that global revenues from residential and business VoIP services increased by nine percent last year, reaching $63 billion. The VoIP market overall is expected to increase to $82.7 billion by 2017.

VoIP providers are competing aggressively to rake in from the growing opportunity. The market is abuzz with all of the latest VoIP offers for both residential and business customers. However, due to the complexities involved in choosing the VoIP services, customers are often not able to pick the right service from the ideal service provider. This is primarily due to the fact that providers often tier their pricing based on number of users, making it very difficult to perform a basic price comparison based on the actual number of lines required.

Luckily WhichVoIP.com, an online resource for voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) technology, has come up with three new tools to help businesses select the right VoIP provider the first time around. They include the VoIP Price Tool, VoIP Comparison Tool and the Reviews Comparison.

With the VoIP Price Tool, users get access to a custom list of pricing from multiple providers. All they have to do is simply enter the number of phone lines required, and the tool instantly delivers the total estimated cost, price per line, per month, and contract length.  Also, the VoIP Comparison Tool helps users determine which providers have the best set of features to meet their individual needs. Users can select up to four services, and get an instant side-by-side comparison of almost 100 different features of each service.

Common features are then underlined such as call logging, emergency assistance, voice-to-e-mail, and more. The price comparison tool a includes premium feature availability ranging from call recording, virtual numbers and voicemail transcription, to pricing information as well.

Last but not least, the Reviews Comparison allows users to compare the reviews for their selected providers in an easy to follow graphical display. It will closely analyze the specific ratings for key features like sound quality, reliability, customer service and value for the money.

“VoIP’s rich feature set means smaller businesses now have the same features available to them, which were once only available to larger companies,” said Calum MacKinnon managing partner at WhichVoIP, in a statement. “But finding the best solution, comparing prices and feature sets, and determining which combination is best for a given situation, require a detailed analysis.”
