Indosoft, a provider of scalable multi-tenant contact center software for Asterisk has appointed VBX Telecom, a provider of business VoIP and contact center solutions as a Certified Reseller for South Africa.

VBX Telecom delivers customizable business VoIP solutions including an all VoIP contact center and office PBX solutions. Their services are supported by highly qualified professionals with experience in all aspects of the industry from Linux and VoIP, to networking and hardware.

Indosoft provides Asterisk-based contact center solutions and has been successfully deploying and supporting its ACD and Dialer software suite at medium and large contact centers around the world, directly or through resellers.

Q-Suite 5.5 for Asterisk from Indosoft delivers powerful innovation and flexibility needed for the ever increasing demands of customer interaction. The multi-tenant software is available for both on-premise and hosted deployment. The solution leverages the power of Asterisk, Linux, Apache and MySQL to provide an open architecture ACD with unsurpassed contact center functionality, according to a press release.

"With the rapid deregulation in telecommunications in South Africa, we are catching up to the world-wide adaptation of Asterisk as a choice switching platform for next generation telephony," said Peter Retief, chief technology officer of VBX Telecom, in a statement.

"We have been successfully deploying Asterisk based solutions since 2006,” Retief added. “In Q-Suite, we have found a cost-effective, feature-rich, out-of the box, contact center software with a powerful ACD/Dialer engine. We are impressed with its sophisticated inbuilt GUI tools like the Agent interaction Script Builder and the Dialplan (IVR) Builder as well as its extensive CTI library with .NET API."

The rich Asterisk and business VoIP background of VBX Telecom will complement Indosoft in catering to the emerging South African market, said James Terhune, chief technology officer at Indosoft.  "The increase in demand for Asterisk-based contact centers has created a favorable market for Q-Suite ACD, Terhune added. “The .NET API for CTI Integration within Q-Suite ACD will provide VBX Telecom customers with the ability to incorporate Asterisk telephony and contact center operations into their ERP/CRM driven customer interaction platforms."

virtual-pbx recently revealed that a survey conducted by WhichVoIP, a website that offers detailed comparisons of residential and business VoIP phones has revealed that low operating costs and highly useful features are the top two reasons business customers transitioned to VoIP services.
