Business VoIP Provider Wind Currents Helps SMBs and Healthcare Agencies Upgrade their Telephony Services
Wind Currents Communications, a provider of business VoIP services including video phones and IP phones, has just launched a SIP-compliant, plug-and-use V2VIP video phone and calling plans for small businesses.
V2VIP service is a fully managed desktop video phone solution that provides a high-performance video phone which redefines video calling for small-to-medium size businesses and healthcare agency communications.
Featuring Texas Instrument's powerful DaVinci digital video dual-core chipset, the V2VIP service provides an affordable and reliable business VoIP service over existing network infrastructures, even firewalled environments. The service also eliminates the huge upfront costs and complexities in video telephony.
Compared to expensive videoconferencing systems that use more resources, V2VIP videophones and service require as little as 150 Kbps per call. The business VoIP service also enables 60 percent of visual communications. Compared to other business VoIP systems, the V2VIP videophones uses a lot less resources overall.
Furthermore, the V2VIP service delivers audio and video transmission up to 30 fps, as well as offering worldwide extension-to-extension calling, calls to any U.S. or Canada telephone number; auto-attendant; 7" TFT color LCD; hearing-aid compatibility; and the option to keep existing telephone numbers.
Following this development, recently Wind Currents Communications announced it has completed compatibility and performance tests of the Cisco SPA 504G IP phone on its V2VIP service platform. All features of this product are certified to ensure full interoperability and the service is now available as an auto-configured, plug-and-dial solution.
