NetSuite (News - Alert) has announced the details of its upcoming partner conference, SuiteCloud 2010, billed as an event bringing together 'luminaries in cloud computing' with  partners -- from solution providers to developers to independent software vendors to system integrators, company officials say.

SuiteCloud 2010 will be held April 14-16 at the InterContinental Hotel in San Francisco. The focus of the event will be on how the NetSuite cloud ecosystem works with the changing business models for resellers, including third-party applications.

Value-added resellers from both the on-premise and Software as a Service worlds will learn how to 'elevate and modernize their businesses,' company officials say, with cloud computing: 'Developers can explore new opportunities to reach vertical markets through the cloud and NetSuite's enterprise computing platform.'

In late January NetSuite was named a winner in the Technology Marketing Corporation’s Tenth Annual CRM Excellence Awards presented annually by TMC’s (News - Alert) flagship publication, Customer Interaction Solutions. 'Winners are selected based on a range of criteria, but most importantly the product or service must have a proven track record of helping companies improve customer relationships and business operations,' TMC officials noted at the time of the award.

SuiteCloud 2010 will also preview upcoming innovations in cloud computing and the NetSuite offerings, as well as hands-on best practices instruction and demos of successful extensions to the NetSuite platform.

Naturally the networking opportunities with the NetSuite community of partners and experts will be available as well.

NetSuite officials say SuiteCloud 2010's goal is 'to guide channel partners to new strategic options,' before outmoded approaches stifle their future business opportunities: 'We believe that this is the year the channel will transition their business model from selling archaic on-premise software to selling cloud-based suites,' said NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson (News - Alert).

The event is also a place for prospective NetSuite channel partners to get a look at the business opportunities and channel programs available from the vendor. Independent developers can preview upcoming technology and future platform enhancements, and 'strengthen ties with NetSuite sales representative and account executives,' NetSuite execs add.
