VillageEDOCS has announced version 2.0 of its MessageVision Platform or "MVP," with updates to Questys-MessageVision's Content Management, Workflow and Legislative Agenda software solutions.

The new platform, according to company officials, will reduce paper consumption and help employees be more productive.

Content Management or "CMx" 2.0 is a SaaS (News - Alert)-based content management solution exclusively designed for small and medium businesses to provide secure document control and meet rigorous compliance and regulatory standards and requirements.

As an electronic document solution, CMx reduces costs resulting from lost documents. The solution directly impacts operational budgets by reducing the office space costs through elimination of paper records and file cabinets, company officials said.

Combined with the WorkFlow or "WFx" 2.0 module, users can leverage real Business Process Management to automate costly manual processes, significantly increase productivity, and minimize paper consumption in the organizations, they added.

Conent Management enhances collaboration by offering centralized solution for users to create, share and edit their documents and ideas within a secure environment. Users have the tools to develop better decision making and drive more meaningful information out of their existing business application systems.

Automating paper-based business process eliminates time delays and the costs associated with manual processing of information. The content is accessible from anywhere from the world. Avoiding the use of paper supports companies' call to go green. Users can share and files globally, enabling high levels of communication and tie-ups with all associates, partners and customers.

In addition to this, the company announced new LegisStream or "LSx" 2.0 - Legislative Agenda Management package for municipalities. LegisStream automates the entire agenda process from creation of reports and agendas to real-time roll-call, vote tabulation and meeting minutes, the company said.

LSx 2.0 includes advanced agenda customization to meet the individual requirements. It also features enhanced reporting, including meeting summary, voting, and legislative history. Advance workflow integration with WorkFlow enables the solution to fully automate the approval routing of any agenda item.

The new 2.0 solution is available to new customers and for upgrade to the existing customers, the company said.

"The Questys-MessageVision CMx, WFx and LSx products are key to our MessageVision Platform of combining the power of electronic information exchange, content and business process management and unified communications, into one unique Software as a Service, in a private or public cloud," Mason Conner, chief executive officer, VillageEDOCS, said.

VillageEDocs reported the company's consolidated net revenue from continuing operations for 2009 increased by 5 percent over 2008. Read the complete financial results for 2009 here.
