Worksoft Adds 'Capture for Web' Capability to Certify

By Rahul Arora, TMCnet Contributor

Worksoft, a provider of business process validation software for packaged enterprise applications, recently announced that it has added a “Certify Capture for Web” capability to Worksoft Certify, the company’s software for automated business process validation in SAP (News - Alert) enterprise. The new capability will be available to customers on May 7.

Worksoft Certify's cloud-enabled architecture ensures that critical business processes continue to function properly as changes are made to underlying applications, and allows easy validation of business processes across Web, portal, cloud, and mobile platforms. The solution supports validation of business processes that span diverse technology stacks including browser-based technologies and mobile platforms.

“Business users can now simply walk through their business processes using multiple applications – both in SAP and across all Web applications – to automatically capture the processes for validation and quality assurance purposes,” said Brian Smith, vice president, engineering, Worksoft. “Once the process is captured, Worksoft automation enables you to validate that process for every IT project to make sure each step still works correctly. It has never been easier to build a test automation library of core business processes.”

According to Jim Dugger, director of product management at Worksoft, there has been a marked increase in demand for this kind of capability. “Most Fortune 1000 companies have dozens of Web and portal apps that work with their SAP systems,” Dugger pointed out. “Certify Capture for Web is a highly efficient way for IT teams to engage their business users. It will certainly shorten timelines and accelerate projects for upgrades and new system deployments.”

Recently, cloud testing provider Jackpine Technologies selected Worksoft Certify to support CONS3RT, Jackpine's lifecycle automation platform. Developed by Jackpine with the Defense Information Systems Agency (News - Alert) (DISA), CONS3RT is a key component in milCloud, which provides on-demand, secure, cloud based automation to ensure quality, enable rapid deployment of new technology, and facilitate cross-team collaboration.
