Opscode is automating configuration management and application delivery for the large-scale virtualized infrastructure of online payments specialist Klarna.

Sweden based Klarna offers safe online payment solutions for its clients. The company uses a multi-tiered hybrid infrastructure to power its diverse range of services.

The online payments specialist is using Opscode Enterprise Chef to empower its engineering teams with on-demand, automated application builds, testing, and deployments.

In addition to automating user access, Enterprise Chef is automating resource configuration and application deployment within XenServer-based virtualized infrastructure for Klarna.

As Opscode has automated application building, testing and delivery for a variety of engineering teams that use its virtualized servers, these teams can easily replicate any of Klarna's production environments.

These teams are also empowered to run a diverse set of automated tests and deploy the applications into production.

Opscode was in news earlier this year when it was chosen by Amazon Web Services' (News - Alert) (AWS) to automate everything including configuring server instances and deploying applications in AWS cloud environments.

Opscode Chef enables AWS OpsWorks deliver a flexible, automated, end-to-end solution that can simplify application management and boost innovation.

Recently, Opscode collaborated with Plexxi, creator of the industry's first affinity-driven networking solution, on easier network setup.

Users can leverage the combination of Plexxi and Opscode Enterprise Chef to provision their applications and the supporting network with a single action.

The network is automatically optimized without the requirement of additional administrative load as soon as the application is configured.
