Aiphone, a manufacturer of intercom solutions for communication and security, has chosen VAI's S2K 5.0 ERP software to integrate all of its critical business applications, including accounts receivable, sales analysis, manufacturing, service billing (repairs), data warehouse, inventory management, fixed assets, and faxing. Aiphone provides both audio and video solutions, specializing in access entry and control systems. With the help of the new software, it is expecting to improve its manufacturing and inventory management processes.
After evaluating other ERP solutions in market, Aiphone determined that VAI's S2K 5.0 flexible graphical user interface (GUI) and comprehensive manufacturing models make it the ideal software solution for the company’s needs.
"VAI's ERP solution has transformed our business operations," said Scott Antes, manager of information technologies, Aiphone, in a statement. "S2K 5.0 seamlessly integrates all of our business applications to give us the data we need, when we need it. The fact that S2K 5.0 runs on the IBM (News - Alert) Power Systems was a critical component for us and its interface provides a great overall user experience."
VAI, an IBM Premier Business Partner and 2012 IBM Beacon Award Winner for Outstanding Solutions for Midsize Businesses, is an independent mid-market ERP software developer offering business automation for the distribution, manufacturing, specialty retail and service sectors.
S2K's new MRP, CRP, Shop Floor Control and Finite Scheduling capabilities will enable Aiphone to gain better insight into its data by identifying important trends and sales histories. Furthermore, its friendly user interface will help Aiphone streamline its manufacturing processes.
"For mid- sized organizations such as Aiphone, it is critical that an ERP system integrates with critical business functions and provides a good user experience," said Pete Zimmerman, manufacturing segment manager, VAI. "We designed our S2K 5.0 software to be intuitive and easy-to-use, and we're pleased to help Aiphone enhance its manufacturing processes."
