GroveWare Technologies Ltd., a provider of enterprise mobile solutions connecting workforces by smartphones and tablet devices, recently announced that its MobiTask solution has been selected by SCI Engineering, a multi-discipline professional consulting engineering firm, to facilitate the elimination of paper processes in the field.

MobiTask is a data/task management and process automation solution for all smartphones and tablets. The service provides a unified platform on a mobile device for extending and completing workflow tasks from multiple client-side enterprise software applications.

As a COTS solution, it allows organizations to rapidly deploy mobile solutions for workers on the go.

MobiTask provides employees the convenience of using dynamic electronic forms to collect field data, manage workflow tasks wirelessly, store documents locally and integrate quickly with most ERP systems and backend databases.

"SCI Engineering has been looking for a way to utilize tablet technology to enhance their field engineering report process, hoping to reduce the time between administrators initiating requests from the office and employees receiving them in the field," stated GroveWare CEO, Hrair Achkarian. "The use of an electronic tablet e-form solution will help to drastically reduce the amount of wasted time between completing field works on paper and delivery of a finished report. MobiTask users can directly enter data into any application, such as Oracle (News - Alert) e-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, MS Dynamics and Kronos Workforce Central, among others. Users can wirelessly clock-in/out, approve and initiate workflow tasks, or use dynamic e-Forms for inspections, service orders, licensing and data collection – all from their mobile device.
