Bluespring Unveils ProcessView Essential Analytics for Microsoft Visio
Bluespring, a provider of Business Process Innovation (BPI) technologies, helps organizations worldwide understand and significantly improve key business processes.
Bluespring Software recently announced the launch of ProcessView Essential software for Microsoft (News - Alert) Visio, allowing Visio users to capture critical data about business process and generate meaningful statistics to make more informed business decisions.
With this free addition, Bluespring allows information workers, process owners and industrial engineers to easily model and measure performance of any business process described in Microsoft Visio.
Company officials said ProcessView Essential allows everyone involved to get on the same page of a process’ effectiveness by producing these valuable KPIs, and providing the ability to benchmark a current state process against a modeled future state.
“ProcessView Essential is the first free product of its kind that allows Visio users to capture critical data about business processes and generate meaningful statistics to make more informed business decisions,” Rich Kurz, vice president of Client Services for Bluespring, said in a statement.
The software allows everyone from a Junior Business Analyst to ITIL Practitioners and Lean Six Sigma Black Belts to incorporate analytics into every process improvement project, according to Kurz. “With ProcessView Essential’s ease of use and focus on a few key metrics – time, cost and resources – now they can!”
ProcessView Essential helps answer key questions: “How long does it take to execute the process? How many resources are involved? How much does it cost?” Once the basic information is collected, the ProcessView Analytics Engine crunches the numbers and produces robust KPI reports and dashboards with the touch of a button.
With ProcessView Essential, users can enter critical information about a process like time, cost, variability and resources, right into the Visio process map. It allows the quick validation of a Visio process map and the information that was entered. Users can also generate reports to identify overall process time, duration, usage and resource cost.
By measuring the contribution of time and cost of every activity in the process, Visio users can quickly identify overused and underused areas. They can also understand the impact of process improvements by modeling and simulating them before making any changes and automatically separate all execution paths within a process.
In a related announcement last year, Office Work Software has become a Microsoft Visio partner in addition to its partnership as a Microsoft Silver ISV (Independent Solutions Vendor). Microsoft will be promoting OfficeWork Software’s new OrgChart for Visio at select retail stores.
