Active Endpoints, the process automation company, announced the availability of ActiveVOS 9.0 Enterprise Edition and a new Data Center Edition.

Delivering a scalable and secure SOA-based business process management (BPM) system, the new releases support multi-tenant virtual partitioning, resource sharing and multi-site clustering for large IT organizations, company officials said.

Leveraging ActiveVOS 9.0, IT organizations will have the capability to deploy private clouds and enable software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) providers to deploy more cost-effective public clouds.

“The new multi-tenant architecture provides the ability to separate and isolate the individual process groups, departments or projects on the same infrastructure and provide a better overall quality of service and total cost of ownership,” said Oldrich Kotas, BPM Architect, Trask Solutions, in a statement.

Developing and deploying software and hardware is a costly affair for companies. This brings added complexity to IT infrastructure. These same challenges are true for SaaS providers that want to develop and deploy custom applications for multiple customers.

ActiveVOS Data Center Edition was developed to solve such challenges. The multi-tenant architecture, which is available in the new Data Center Edition, securely partitions ActiveVOS into discrete groups, reducing the management complexity and increasing hardware utilization of large installations.

Recently, Active Endpoints announced the release of Cloud Extend for Salesforce.com (News - Alert), offering user-driven customization to sales managers, sales operations, and product marketing. Natively integrated with Salesforce.com, Cloud Extend enables sales organizations to capture sales knowledge, replicate successful sales patterns and enforce data consistency.
