Rapid adoption of bring your own device (BYOD) has spurred the demand for solutions that can prevent the misuse of technology in the hands of mobile workers. This has created significant market opportunity for companies delivering flexible, integrated network security solutions for controlled BYOD.
If recent market forecasts are to be believed, Eastern Europe holds good promise for these solutions. Bradford Networks (News - Alert), maker of network access control solution Network Sentry, has decided to capitalize on the trend, and in its quest for a suitable partner for bringing its product to these markets, zeroed on Warsaw, Poland-based Netaxcom. This Polish value-added reseller of security solutions not only has a strong presence in Eastern Europe and an established clientele, Bradford’s NAC solutions seem to be perfect for seamless integration with Netaxcom’s major security offerings.
Thus, Bradford has entered into a strategic distribution partnership with Netaxcom. The partnership with this Polish company is expected to enable Bradford to expand its footprint in Eastern European markets. Under the partnership, Netaxcom will incorporate Bradford Networks' NAC solution, Network Sentry, to its IT security product and service portfolio.
Armed with a host of connected devices, workers will find it remarkably easy to carry out office tasks, stay connected to team members and respond to clients, whether they are on the go, at home or in the office. Employer will find it hard to object, as secure BYOD helps reduce the cost and complexity of managing a mobile workforce all the while boosting employees’ productivity and efficiency.
While the BYOD trend is making significant inroads into the corporate world, as well as education sector, new, unforeseen challenges are cropping up everyday. Under this backdrop, IT departments insist on having a well-defined enterprise-wide mobile device management policy in place, so that employees can still reap the benefits of mobile technology, but in a controlled manner. Securing network access is one of the crucial steps needed to make BYOD secure and reliable.
Bradford Networks specializes in secure network access control (NAC) technology that enables secure network access for corporate issued and personal mobile devices. Allowing for automatic identification of all devices and all users on a network, its Network Sentry aims to ensure complete visibility and control over mobile devices.
According to the company, the solution, based on the SmartEdge platform seamlessly integrates with industry-leading security, mobile device management (MDM) and network infrastructure technologies to provide a view across all brands of network equipment and connected devices. This helps address the risks associated with network blind spots that can introduce risk.
“We selected to work with Bradford Networks because their industry-leading Network Sentry solution comprehensively addresses BYOD challenges and integrates with our leading security offerings. We look forward to working closely with Bradford Networks to provide our customers with complete solutions that address their secure BYOD objectives” general manager of Netaxcom Adam Ksiazek noted in a statement.
“We're very pleased to partner with Netaxcom,” said EMEA Sales Manager at Bradford Networks Charlie McAlister. “They have an established presence in Eastern Europe and strong relationships with major customers and complementary vendors, therefore this partnership positions Bradford Networks to capitalize on the growing worldwide interest for comprehensive BYOD solutions.”
