Provider of software for business process innovation Cordys has announced that it has expanded operations in France by opening an office in Paris.
“The establishment of our office in Paris will allow us to substantially increase business in one of the main markets in Europe,” said Per Jonsson, CEO at Cordys, in a release.
Jean Philippe Kalfon and Laurent Chailley are expected to lead the Paris Office. Kalfon joins Cordys from Systec & Services, a German based MES systems supplier, where he served over the last two years as a sales director for the French speaking regions. Also, he worked for WebMethods and Documentum.
Chailley joins Cordys from Pegasystems (News - Alert) where he was senior account manager for the Banking & Insurance segment in France during the last four years. Prior to joining Pegasystems, Chailley has held several senior sales positions in companies such as Software AG-Stellent (News - Alert) and Filenet.
Jonsson said the company is pleased to have Kalfon and Chailley on board, as they bring extensive international experience in sales and deep knowledge the France technology market.
The new office in France reflects the company’s recent success and follows the opening of offices in Italy, Japan and Korea in the last year, Jonsson said, adding that the company developing a strong client base in France and the opening of the Paris office demonstrates its commitment to growing the business in the region.
Cordys was named as one of the middleware megavendor challengers in a report entitled “Challenging the Middleware Megavendors,” published in September 2010 by independent technology and market research company Forrester Research.
