Metastorm (News - Alert) announced that its customer, AmerisourceBergen Corporation has been named runner-up in the 2010 Business Agility and Process Optimization Enabled by BPM and SOA contest. It was recognized for its successful implementation of business process initiatives using the Metastorm BPM software platform.
The company is a provider of Business Process Management, Business Process Analysis, and Enterprise Architecture software for aligning strategy with execution.
Metastorm sources added that AmerisourceBergen has created a Center of Excellence to govern its BPM initiatives, and the company has deployed over 200 processes on the Metastorm BPM platform. This implementation has saved a lot in time and money as it has improved mission-critical processes such as its contracts and chargebacks processes. It has also used Metastorm BPM to extend and augment its new SAP (News - Alert) implementation, said company sources.
The Business Agility and Process Optimization enabled by BPM and SOA contest is co-sponsored by the BPM/SOA community, BPTrends, ebizQ, and SearchSOA. This initiative is aimed at highlighting business success stories and lessons in order to focus on the insights gathered by organizations while considering or pursuing BPM, SOA or combined BPM-SOA adoption.
