While the holiday season was already a big test for the logistics industry, they might be looking ahead to the coming holiday season. They might want to turn to a solution like Bastian Logistics. The company is offering Bastian Logistics to clients who need automated fulfillment centers.

Bastian Logistics handles all elements of the logistics process, from packing to warehousing to shipping.

The company has also offered other innovative features, including Perfect Pick, which uses small vehicles to automatically pick items for shipping.

Bastian believes that this could allow smaller retailers to challenge Amazon’s dominance in online retailing by allow them to deliver items much faster than Amazon can.

“Perfect Pick is just one of the technologies we’re bringing to e-fulfillment centers. Alone, it can result in a 50-percent reduction in the workforce needed while boosting production by 30 percent. Think about that on Black Friday (News - Alert). This kind of efficiency can translate into hundreds of thousands of dollars of extra sales,” Bastian president Bill Bastian II said last year.
