BlackBerry Users Privy to PhoneFusion Voicemail Plus
By Jai C.S., TMCnet Contributing Editor
PhoneFusion, a company that offers communications solutions to businesses, today released the new beta version of “Fusion Voicemail Plus” for BlackBerry (News - Alert) smartphones.
The new version of this free visual voicemail application is now available for all BlackBerry users, whether or not they are an existing PhoneFusion customer, according to the company. All Blackberry devices including the popular BlackBerry Pearl and BlackBerry Curve, on any U.S. wireless carrier can use the service, company officials say.
The beta version of Fusion Voicemail Plus gives the BlackBerry community iPhone (News - Alert)-like visual voicemail functionality for their device, company officials say. It provides a faster, more efficient way to review messages, allows users to view the incoming phone number and see a caller’s name.
The service also includes a standard feature in the PhoneFusion One solution, company officials say. PhoneFusion One gives businesses an easy way to manage daily business communications with a single phone number. Subscribers receive a permanent telephone number to give to clients, colleagues, family and friends, company officials say.
“Fusion Voicemail Plus gives BlackBerry users another powerful way to stay on top of their business communications,” said Louis Libin, chief executive officer of PhoneFusion.
Libin continued, “For small businesses, time is limited and every minute of the day counts. With Fusion Voicemail Plus, BlackBerry users have a quick and easy way to manage voicemail messages, saving them time and helping them in their quest to do more.”
After signing up at www.fvmplus.com, a subscriber receives a message on his or her device with a link that will allow him or her to easily download the Fusion Voicemail Plus application. Fusion Voicemail Plus already is available on any cell phone network for Windows Mobile 5 and 6, according to the company. PhoneFusion officials say the company is planning for a future releases for Palm, Symbian, Android (News - Alert) and LINUX mobile. A J2ME version is also planned, they say.
