By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor
This move comes at a time when more and more businesses are moving to VoIP for its cost benefits and other advanced functionalities including improved audio quality which helps to increase the user’s communications experience. With HD quality audio, people can communicate more clearly, and business can be conducted more efficiently over the phone.
CTI Group’s SmartRecord IP offering is also compatible with Polycom's (News - Alert) HD SoundPoint IP desktop phones and SoundStation IP conference phones – allowing for true HD conversations and recordings in the IP environment.
"IP telephony is becoming more and more prevalent in businesses around the globe. The ability to leverage all of the features offered on VoIP systems is critical, and by joining efforts with Polycom, we offer our customers high quality, high definition voice as well as top of the line call recording using our SmartRecord IP platform. This new enhanced sound quality only magnifies the lead that CTI Group (News - Alert) has above the competition in this space," said Sid Rao, Chief Technology Officer, CTI Group, Inc.
Recently Polycom announced the new VVX 1500 business media phone which also supports Polycom HD Voice. This solution is an all-in-one productivity tool for today’s busy executives and professionals that makes voice and video communications easy to conduct.
Jeff Rodman, Polycom co-founder and chief technology officer of the company's Voice Communications Solutions division said, "Polycom HD Voice offers more than twice the clarity of regular telephone conversations, which means much better intelligibility when conducting business over the phone. We're delighted to see CTI Group join us in the mission to provide a complete high definition IP telephony service, complete with the highest standard of applications needed by businesses large and small."
Last month, CTI Group made headlines with the announcement that it had partnered with Telesphere (News - Alert) to provide customers with BroadWorks Integrated call recording capabilities.
Seamless integration with the BroadWorks platform means Telesphere can offer hosted call recording capabilities to customers so they can more easily and quickly realize the benefits of VoIP. Because the offering is hosted, customers can also attain the application without having to disrupt service and without the need for any capital investment.
