Allot (News - Alert) Communications, a provider of IP service optimization and revenue generation solutions based on deep packet inspection (DPI), has just launched the ServiceProtector 4.0.
ServiceProtector is the first security product to launch since the company took over Esphion Limited in January this year.
Allot's ServiceProtector is a self-contained security solution that enables service providers to control and reduce the operational and infrastructure costs involved in mitigation of several security threats. It identifies malicious traffic and enables isolation of infected subscribers allowing legitimate traffic to flow unimpeded, at speeds of 10Gbps.
Additionally, the solution enables service providers to extend Allot's traditional DPI capabilities and policy-based Quality of Service enforcement with mitigation of security threats.
"With the ServiceProtector in our network, we have seen a significant decline in the number of SPAM and other attacks and a dramatic decrease in the number of help desk calls we receive on a daily basis," said Viriya Upatising, chief technical officer at True Internet, Thailand.
"Allot's ServiceProtector is a highly competitive solution for the service provider market in terms of performance, efficiency and ease of implementation - an essential extension to the company's 10G product portfolio," said Andrei Elefant, vice president, products and marketing at Allot.
According to Elefant, the newly launched solution adds another service to Allot's eco (News - Alert)-system of application and subscriber-aware DPI based value-added services.
