Ideacom, an organization of telecom industry companies that pools buying power to offer members access to healthcare services at association health insurance rates and other advantages, announced Monday a new vendor partner: GE Security, Inc., a company that provides security, life safety, and nurse call system products for hospitals and other segments of the healthcare industry.
Under the terms of the Agreement, qualified Ideacom members are eligible to sell all nurse call systems (ProCare 1000, ProCare 2000, ProCare 2600 and ProCare 6000), as well as the new GE Telligence nurse call system. The Telligence is the first and only nurse call platform designed and delivered by any nurse call manufacturer in the 21st century and the first to incorporate VoIP , the latest in healthcare communication technology.
Telligence expedites staff response time to patient calls by automatically delivering information directly to the assigned caregiver’s mobile messaging device, ultimately increasing productivity and efficiency of the caregiver as well as increasing patient satisfaction. In addition, the Telligence offers SQL based centralized staff assignments, browser based management reporting and ADT interface.
Ideacom was founded in 1986 by a group of dedicated telecom business leaders with individual companies, who realized the benefit of working together in an increasingly competitive marketplace. Today, in addition to providing telecoms with significant discounts on equipment and services, and offering training on topics such as VoIP, Ideacom leverages its buying power to give member companies access to healthcare services at association health insurance rates.
GE Security is a wholly owned subsidiary of the General Electric Company (NYSE: GE) focused on communication and information technologies for security, safety and lifestyle enhancements. Security has operations in more than 30 countries and is represented by some of the best-known brand names for intrusion and fire detection, access and building control, video surveillance, explosive and drug detection, key management, and structured wiring.
