GENBAND (News - Alert), a developer of software-based real time communications (RTC) solutions, recently showed off its new Simply Mobile framework at the Futurecom Expo in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Those solutions included the Kandy Platform-as-a-Service, the QUANTiX Wireless Access Gateway (News - Alert) and GENBAND’s “fring” service provider OTT solutions.
The Simply Mobile framework allows enterprises and service providers to improve security and cost-efficiency as they modernize networks. It leads to improved monetization of network investments and increased customer reach, as well.
In addition, Kandy (News - Alert) features GENBAND’s enterprise-grade communications solutions so developers and service providers can use real time communications at any touchpoint within minutes. The QUANTiX Wireless Access Gateway solution also lets communication service providers go after revenue-generating opportunities with value added services, such as next-generation carrier Wi-Fi with Hotspot 2.0, and expand network coverage and capacity by carrying voice and data traffic from small cell and Wi-Fi access points to evolved packet core, the company said.
The fring (News - Alert) service provider Over-the-Top (OTT), a white-label, cloud-based solution, lets service providers use OTT technology and launch new services, such as SMS, video, chat and conferencing services.
“With more than 15,000 attendees, Futurecom continues to be one of the most strategic conferences in Latin America,” Brad Bush (News - Alert), chief marketing officer for GENBAND, said in a statement earlier this month about the event. “Some of the largest and most recognized service providers in the Caribbean and Latin America are leveraging GENBAND solutions, and we continue to gain momentum in the region. We are … demonstrating our extensive real time communications capabilities to our existing customers, prospects and partners at Futurecom.”
GENBAND, a developer of multimedia and cloud communications solutions, provides value to the telecom market by letting service providers deliver the solutions needed by customers.
