A10 Networks (News - Alert) Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs) are useful in a typical datacenter environment as they can offload common repetitive tasks usually performed by Web servers, lowering costs while simultaneously increasing speed and improving efficiency.
ADCs can also provide load balancing, application acceleration, application layer security and content switching.
In one of the major customer wins, A10 Networks has been just selected by Tremor Video, a provider of digital video advertising, to support that company’s current and peak-level scalability requirements.
Tremor Video selected A10's mid-range AX Series of ADCs to support the high-volume of online video ad impressions served every month, the company said. This capability, combined with high hardware reliability, provides Tremor Video’s in-stream video advertising and real-time analytics and revenue data with greater uptime and availability.
“A10's ADCs include a broad feature set that met multiple application delivery requirements critical to Tremor Video, such as SSL Offload, Layer 7 application switching and server load balancing, all in a "one rack unit" appliance,” ADC (News - Alert) said.
The ADC’s application optimization features, such as SSL Offload and RAM (News - Alert) Caching, allow Tremor Video to reduce data center cost and complexity.
"We chose A10 Networks for our application delivery needs, because its application feature set is of exceptional value. The pricing model of an all-inclusive feature set alleviates headaches associated with massive costs for advanced features that we require," said Presley Acuna, senior director of systems engineering at Tremor Video.
A10’s Thunder Series and AX Series platforms are designed to deliver the flexibility needed to deploy reliable, scalable and flexible applications that will meet highly complex network design requirements, said Ray Smets, A10 Networks vice president of worldwide sales.
In another recent announcement, A10 Networks announced it has been selected by MIS Asia as part of the Global 75 in the MIS Asia Strategic 100 for 2013, the index of the 100 top ICT vendors of the year.
