NEI (News - Alert), a provider of purpose-built platforms for appliance deployment and support services for application software developers, OEMs and service providers around the world, has just increased the size of the company by hiring Thomas N. Paquette and Barry Raymond as regional sales directors for the east and west coasts. As directors, their new responsibilities will entail assisting OEMs and developers across all markets to satisfy their application deployment requirements which include virtualization, cloud computing, and physical hardware that are used in order to improve the delivery and management of IT solutions.
Paquette comes to NEI from DataDirect Networks, where he was formerly director of worldwide OEM/channel sales for storage solutions and helped to manage the relationship between IBM (News - Alert) and its reseller network around the world. Paquette has also worked at IBM, in executive and sales roles but his most recent job was as the business unit executive for OEM/embedded storage solutions. In addition, he previously served as regional sales director at Lucent Technologies. Paquette brings more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry including deep deployment experience in embedded storage, digital media systems, enterprise management software, and messaging and other telecom applications, a press release revealed.
Before beginning work at NEI, Barry Raymond was director of sales/business development at Arada Systems, where he helped the company completely reinvent itself, transitioning from a pure software vendor to a full wireless solutions business model and worked with OEMs to design customized Wi-Fi solutions. A release stated that Raymond has also served as worldwide sales manager for Microcom Technologies, vice president of sales at GID, and senior director of business solutions for a U.S.-based division of Casio (News - Alert). Raymond boasts over 20 years of business development and project management experience specifically in network, storage and compliance, back-up, and security applications.
