Free Webinar: Intel, NEI, Emerson Network Power Talk Next-Gen Processor

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

While some of us may be wondering what exactly is Nehalem, the more important questions is: Are you prepared for Nehalem?

First things first, Nehalem is the code name for Intel's (News - Alert) next-generation processor architecture. Designed from the ground up, Intel explains that it takes “advantage of hafnium-based Intel 45nm hi-k metal gate silicon technology and unleashes parallel processing performance enabled by Intel QuickPath technology – for an integrated memory controller and high-speed interconnect per independent processing core.”

Along with maximum multitasking performance Intel Microarchitecture (Nehalem) offers the latest in processor innovation and, most importantly, presents an opportunity for businesses to leapfrog their competition and thrive.

To help service providers and OEMs learn more about Intel’s Nehalem eight-core microarchitecture - from the basics of what it means to insight on planning a conversion strategy, Intel will join NEI and Emerson Power Network for a free TMC (News - Alert) Webinar event, “Prepared for Nehalem?” on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 3:00 PM ET / 2:00 PM CT / 12:00 PM PT.
The free Webinar will look to the benefits of across various platforms, including rack mount servers and AdvancedTCA (News - Alert) systems and provide tips for streamlining the transition process.
Guest speakers, Jeff Hudgins, VP marketing, NEI; Steve Palermo, Product Manager ECG/SG, Intel and Christian Engels, Sr. Technical Marketing Manager for Embedded Computing, Emerson Network Power (News - Alert), will offer their insight and exclusive information on topics like: “Why your application needs to be dual-thread friendly, how an ultra-high bandwidth on-board memory controller can change addressing and storage capabilities, and what changes when you access Nehalem’s 102GB/sec serial (QuickPath) four-channel interconnect.”
A live Q&A session will also take place following the presentation. What are you waiting for?  Register Now
