NEI Appliance Adds Value to Document Imaging Software

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

Canton, Massachusetts-based NEI, a provider of appliance technology, products and services, makes it possible for its customers to better manage, deploy and support their application solutions.

In a bid to increase value and ROI for their customers, ImageTag, a developer of KwikTag Connect document imaging software for Microsoft (News - Alert) Dynamics GP, has chosen to deliver its solution on NEI’s enterprise-ready appliance platform.

The KwikTag Connect solution is an enterprise-level, business-critical solution which helps to streamline paper-intensive business activities and processes.

With this appliance deployment, the KwikTag software will have deeper, seamless and more rapid integration with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft SharePoint and other enterprise applications. This means the ability to capture, file and retrieve documents digitally and extends simplified lifecycle management services for its customers.

“ImageTag’s selection of NEI clearly indicates the value and acceptance of the appliance platform, and the increased demand by software developers to shift fixed operating expenses to variable costs,” said Rusty Cone, senior vice president, sales and marketing, NEI.

“We expect ImageTag will serve new markets with even greater efficiency as they help customers transform their businesses by turning the tumultuous paper burden into a true digital advantage.”

NEI is also providing ImageTag with platform integration control, solution design, global logistics and smart services that will help the company to more easily brand, ship, deploy, repair and replace hardware products.

These services are enabled by NEI’s ACE element manager, which allows customers to update the appliance remotely as well as monitor real-time status and the health of the appliance, among other key automation features.

“By employing NEI’s suite of capabilities, we can better allocate resources to support our core business of developing fully integrated and innovative products that deliver the functionality, integrity and overall performance that our customers rely upon every day,” said Randall W. Eckel, president and CEO, ImageTag.

“Deploying KwikTag Connect for Microsoft Dynamics GP on an NEI appliance enabled us to accelerate time to market, strengthen deployment controls and extend greater lifecycle value to our customers.”
