pbxnsip Turns to NEI for Improved Appliance Deployment

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

In a bid to help make it easier to use, install, operate and manage advanced telephony appliances, pbxnsip (News - Alert) has turned to NEI for support.

As per the latest announcement, pbxnsip, a provider of SIP-based PBX (News - Alert) communication systems, is making use of NEI's telephony appliances to support its VoIP-based communications systems. With support from NEI, the system will make it possible for businesses of all sizes to quickly deploy applications and provides the ability to integrate with Office Communication Servers (OCS) and Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging (UM).

NEI develops comprehensive platforms, appliances and support services that once deployed reduce time to market, development time and total lifecycle costs for organizations.

According to the company, "technology vendors, particularly software companies, turn to NEI for reliable and robust platforms and services that address enterprise demands for communications and security applications."

Jeff Hudgins, vice president of marketing at NEI said, "NEI provides customers like pbxnsip with a full range of engineering, manufacturing, logistics, support and our ACE Smart Services that allow independent software vendors (ISVs) to focus on the competitiveness of their application in their market."

The appliance solution integrates pbxnsip's software-based IPBX and will be fully supported by NEI and also includes services to ensure customers achieve long term value using pbxnsip applications.

"We chose NEI for its outstanding reputation and demonstrated experience in the telephony market. Its size and global reach were also clear advantages," said Kevin Moroz, chief operating officer, pbxnsip. "With NEI's services and logistical support, we are able to more effectively meet our customers' needs by offering them full lifecycle
support for the pbxnsip appliances they deploy. It's a win for everyone."

Earlier this month, NEI signed an agreement with Astute Networks to provide solutions based on Astute Networks’ suite of Caspian Edge Storage Blade products and related software. Back in June, the companies also introduced an AdvancedTCA (News - Alert) server solution that combines Astute Network’s Caspian R1100 Edge Storage Blade with NEI’s A-13000 high-availability ATCA platform.
