Appliance Deployment Provider NEI Ranked 14th in Boston Globe's 2012 List

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

NEI (News - Alert), a Canton, Mass.-based company specializing in appliance deployment and lifecycle support services for software technology developers and OEMs worldwide, recently has been named to the Globe 100 list of top-performing public companies in the state.

In fact, the company has been ranked 14th among Massachusetts-based companies based on its performance for four quarters ending December 31, 2011.

“We are proud to be in the upper 15 percent of the Globe’s top 100 performing public companies and among the strongest business organizations across all of Massachusetts,” said Greg Shortell, president and CEO of NEI, in a statement. “Our reputation for manufacturing excellence, product quality and customer service has enabled us to continue to expand and diversify our customer base and grow revenues.”

With its deep expertise in system integration, application management, global logistics, support, and maintenance services, NEI is redefining appliance deployment for the information and communications industry. The company has been delivering appliance innovation to the industry through its physical, virtual and cloud-ready solutions.

Powering both hardware and OS and system management integration capabilities, combined with international services and logistics, the appliance deployment provider enables software developers to bring solutions to market more efficiently and effectively. NEI serves several companies in industries like security, data storage and telecommunications.

“The positive momentum we are seeing in the economic recovery is illustrated by the Globe 100 returning to full strength,” added Boston Globe Business Editor Shirley Leung. “It’s a powerful testament to the resiliency of Massachusetts’ businesses.”

NEI showcased its new 380V DC and AC server platforms for the data center at the 2012 Uptime Institute Symposium last week in Santa Clara, Calif. The new data center solutions leverage Intel’s (News - Alert) latest x86 Xeon E5 processors and will be part of IO’s innovative IO.Anywhere Data Module inside the Symposium’s innovative Modular Data Center Campus at the not-to-miss event.
