Dell (News
- Alert) KACE, a provider of appliance deployment solutions has just unveiled its new K-Series Advanced line of appliances. The new line of appliances complements Dell KACE's (News - Alert) current portfolio of appliance deployment solutions for small business and enterprise appliances, catering to the unique needs of IT organizations that are small and medium-sized.
The K-Series Advanced appliances offer “enterprise capabilities at affordable pay-as-you-grow pricing” with the same award-winning systems management capabilities and ease-of-use that Dell KACE is known for, the company said in a press release.
K-Series Advanced Appliances include the K1100-ADV for systems management, and the K2100-ADV for systems deployment. Some of the important features of these appliance deployment solutions include quad-core Intel (News

"The SMB segment can sometimes be a bit of a misnomer because there are significant differences that small and medium-sized businesses face which can impact organizational growth," said Lubos Parobek, vice president of product management, Dell KACE, in a statement.
"Our new K-Series Advanced Appliance line enables businesses to accelerate their growth path without the need to upgrade systems or compromise the quality of systems management technology, enabling companies to effectively improve IT service levels and end-user productivity," Parobek added.
Dell KACE's Advanced Appliance deployment solutions facilitate a smooth, non-disruptive migration path for rapidly growing organizations, allowing companies to quickly expand, without the high cost, work stoppages or compromised quality of service that are common with traditional software-only system upgrades.
In addition, Dell KACE has also announced a new ProSupport package which includes unified assistance from Dell's maintenance and support team. KACE and Dell customers can quickly reach a support team at any time through a single contact number for all Dell products including desktops, servers, storage and now also Dell KACE Systems Management (News - Alert) Appliances.
Recently, TMCnet reported about an innovative offering from NEI (News - Alert), another provider of appliance deployment solutions. The company developed the Lifecycle Engine for Application Deployment (LEAD) system to solve challenges involved in increasing the speed to market of applications. The system encompasses the entire lifecycle, and is supported by a disciplined approach to program management.
