Solace Systems (News - Alert), which provides purpose-built middleware appliance deployment solutions designed to accelerate message and content routing, and SEEBURGER, a provider of business integration and secure managed file transfer (MFT) solutions, have launched a solution that has been designed for high-speed business-to-business (B2B) and MFT messaging.
The new solution combines SEEBURGER's award-winning business integration platform with Solace's messaging middleware appliance deployment solutions. The integration results in an increased transaction throughput of 10 to 100 times over third-party software message buses.
Additionally, the solution reduces costs by consolidating the equivalent of a dozen servers that are running software into a single appliance, company officials said.
It is estimated that the combined appliance deployment solution yields approximately a 50 to 75 percent reduction rate in message bus costs and even further cost reductions are possible through the secure virtualization of hundreds of B2B and MFT application groups within each appliance.
Customers also benefit from simpler appliance deployment through enhanced support on all messaging types (reliable, guaranteed, JMS, WAN and Web) for use across local or global deployments.
"As transaction volumes rise in every industry and more business processes are distributed globally, our customers require more information delivery horsepower than software-based message buses can provide," said Rohit Khanna, EVP, Global Strategy and Corporate Development for SEEBURGER, in a statement.
"Integrating our BIS platform with Solace solves the problem by boosting processing power by a factor as high as 100 while also supplying the deployment, consolidation, management and cost benefits of an appliance," Khanna added.
The solution can be utilized in multiple scenarios including payment processing, order execution and corporate statements for financial services firms, customer provisioning and monthly billing for telecommunications companies, and smart meter and smart grid data for utilities.
Furthermore, the appliance deployment solution simplifies IT infrastructure, reduces total cost of ownership, and streamlines corporate and regulatory compliance efforts. "Secure, fully auditable business integration capabilities like business-to-business transactions and managed file transfer are the cornerstone of most globally distributed data applications," said Denis King, SVP, Global Field Services and Strategic Alliances for Solace Systems.
"This partnership lets us offer our customers the functionality of the highly regarded SEEBURGER product family for that purpose, and also help SEEBURGER customers accelerate, scale and simplify their existing deployments,” King added.
The business integration software from SEEBURGER can be deployed with the Solace 3260 Message Router, a 4U field-upgradeable unit supporting tens of millions of messages per second, or the Solace 3230 Message Router, a 2U unit designed for departmental applications, satellite datacenters and on-customer-premise solutions.
