The innovative Health and Alarm Manager software, which is offered as part of the company’s Element Manager Suite and newly launched Application Management services, helps support failsafe operation with real-time monitoring, as well as increase the operational uptime of enterprise-class servers that host critical security, storage, video and communications applications, according to company officials.
“Our legacy of streamlining application deployment models to create world-class physical, virtual and cloud-ready solutions has earned NEI the reputation of being one of the industry’s most trusted partners,” said Jeff Hudgins (News - Alert), vice president of marketing of NEI, in a statement.
“Our mission is to deliver advanced services that help software vendors more effectively deploy and manage solutions, and the new Health Monitoring and Alarm Manager modules are another example of our commitment to this initiative,” Hudgins added.
Health Manager supports appliance deployment and management by monitoring and reporting the status of critical hardware and software components used in physical, virtual and cloud environments. The software even has the functionality needed to check the operational condition of CPUs, power supplies, storage arrays and disk drives, the monitoring of software behavior, error conditions, functionality, and the overall system health.
Furthermore, the highly automated Alarm Manager can report several operational conditions, thanks to real-time CPU and disk monitoring. It also features a full status monitor that collects information about system function and memory status and can help to dramatically improve IT management and service response times by allowing customers to install and test basic functions faster than ever before.
Azuki Systems, a customer that has deployed NEI’s Health Monitoring and Alarm Management software, says the software has helped the company manage its installed multi-screen video delivery platforms more effectively. With NEI’s health management capabilities, Azuki Systems (News - Alert) is able to observe information about the performance of its systems in real time, and identify and react quickly to any issues that might affect their operations.
“Some of the largest and most successful content owners and service providers rely on Azuki Systems to ensure uptime, reliability, scalability, and performance,” said Rob Hickey, vice president of engineering at Azuki, in a statement. “Our ability to quickly configure and deploy health monitoring tools that proactively manage our systems is an important part of our Azuki Media Platform solution.”
