Appliance Deployment Solution Provider FireScope Earns the Title as 'Most Easily Administered CMDB' in EMA Radar

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

FireScope (News - Alert), a provider of appliance deployment solutions, announced that FireScope Orchestrate has been recognized as the "Most Easily Administered CMDB" in Enterprise Management Associates' (EMA (News - Alert)) Radar for CMDB/CMS: Q2, 2011.

The appliance deployment platform has also been rated as a Value Leader and Strong Value.

FireScope Orchestrate features virtual and physical appliance deployment architectures that enable the solution to be up and running in minutes. A repeatable and tested deployment process aligned by customer use cases enables an evolutionary approach that minimizes disruption and focuses efforts.

In addition, the appliance deployment solution also features Quickstart data models and open standard-based federation capabilities to give better end-user experience. It includes extensive customization capabilities driven by Web-based forms.

The platform also features Virtual 'sandbox' enabling preflight evaluation of data before it is committed to the system to avoid integrity issues; the leading cause of CMDB project re-starts.

“Expectations have fundamentally changed when it comes to enterprise software solutions,” said Steven Cotton, CEO of FireScope, in a statement. “Devoting resources for years to deploy a solution is no longer acceptable, and we are proud to be recognized as a leader in understanding this change and finding innovative ways to solve our customers real problems.”

FireScope Orchestrate was consistently positioned in the highest of the radar's 9 quadrants of measurement across all three use cases evaluated in this report, company officials said.

“I am consistently impressed with the feedback I get when talking with FireScope Customers,” said Dennis Drogseth (News - Alert), vice president for Enterprise Management Associates, in a statement. “This strong customer following and the tight integration between FireScope's CMDB and Business Service Management solution, FireScope Unify, were among the reasons for FireScope's strong showing in the report.”

Recently, FireScope unveiled FireScope Unify for FlexPod. This solution offers a simple way to both manage and automate the complete FlexPod for VMware stack from a single interface, thus allowing for rapid appliance deployment.
