NEI (News - Alert), a provider of purpose-build platforms that offer seamless appliance deployment solutions and support services for application software developers, OEMs and service providers has just confirmed that Austin Hipes, the company’s vice president of Technology will present “Virtualization and Elastic Provisioning in Carrier-Grade Solutions” as part of the Converged Networks: Technologies track at TIA (News - Alert) 2011: Inside the Network.
Taking place from May 17-20, in Dallas, Texas, TIA 2011 is an annual event sponsored by the Telecommunication Industry Association (TIA). This event has been created to bring together thought leaders within the telecommunications and information communications technology industries to collaborate on ideas that can help with overcoming challenges associated with Network security, reliability and sustainability.
During this session, Hipes will provide details about how virtualization and elastic provisioning can be utilized in order to maximize resources and scalability of telecommunications platforms, thus creating highly scalable platforms, while reducing the amount of wasted resources that sometimes occurs during peak usage periods, according to a press release.
Many telecommunications deployments such as 4G wireless, HD-quality video streaming to devices, and VoIP technologies will not only benefit from the use of virtualization and elastic provisioning, but will help to provide more flexible solutions when using them.
In addition, Hipes will also discuss new techniques that will help increase the development process for carrier-grade private cloud solutions that address packet processing, encryption/decryption, load balancing, transcoding, and general purpose processing of modern IP-based telecommunications platforms while saving real estate and minimizing the costs associated with this solutions, a release stated.
NEI will be displaying its telecom platform technology at Booth #1017 during open hours, while Austin Hipes will present his session in the morning of Wednesday, May 18 from 8:30-9:00AM.
