Cyber Warfare Proves Great Business for Endace
By David Sims, TMCnet Contributing Editor
According to the powers that be, “cyber warfare represents one of the greatest threats to Britain's national security.”
Sowrites Britain’s Mail Online, noting that the government “recently announced plans to invest £650 million to combat these potential threats, and that's got to be mega-bullish news for AIM-listed Endace.”
Why? Because Endace’s technology “enables companies and government agencies to guard against viruses, hackers and other network attacks.” Already in demand on hopes that governments and corporates will move away from less scalable software towards Endace's dedicated hardware kits, the Mail Online says “its shares rocketed a further 61p to a year's high of 310p.”
As the online journal reports, buyers “dived in on hearing that the company had won a multi-million dollar order from a global financial services firm to deploy its EndaceProbes -- cyber security monitoring product -- at all levels in 15 data centers throughout the bank.”
Recently TMC (News - Alert) hadthenews that Endace announced the results of its performance in the unsponsored and independent NSS Labs Group Test of IDS/IPS products. The results, according to company officials, “emphatically validate Endace's claim that the EndaceProbe Core100 (EP Core100) is world leading and capable of continuously capturing and analyzing every packet at full 10 Gbps speeds, making it the natural choice for monitoring high-speed critical infrastructure environments.”
The Endace platform has been designed from the ground up for monitoring high-performance, mission critical infrastructure environments. "Our customers choose to work with us because they understand that highly accurate packet capture and time stamping underpins all aspects of network security, monitoring, latency measurement and compliance," said Neil Livingston, chief product officer of Endace. "Having worked in critical infrastructure environments with government and high frequency traders for more than ten years, we understand that to deliver the best solutions you must first have the best platform."
