Answering Service Provider Reflects on 2009, What's Ahead in 2010: Interview
By Kelly McGuire, TMCnet Editor
As we’re in the third month of 2010, many companies are taking this time to look back and reflect on how the business ventures and results of 2009 are currently paving the way for a successful new year.
Keeping that in mind, I sat down with answering service provider ReceptionHQ’s Peter Radnai to discuss how the company performed last year, and what to expect for the upcoming year.
Our exchange follows.
TMCnet: How did your company perform this year? How close did you come to meeting your guidelines as you entered 2009?
Peter Radnai: ReceptionHQ had a great year. We have upgraded our answering service platform to bring more enhanced services to our clients and considering the tough economic environment, and we managed to grow our client base.
TMCnet: What major product, services and partnership announcements did your company report?
PR: We partnered with AnsweringService.com which bought Answer My Office another live answering service. This really helped both companies provide enhanced services to our clients.
TMCnet: At the start of 2009, the economy slowed to a deep recession. How did that affect your company’s performance? More specifically, what affect did it have on demand for your goods and services, if any?
TMCnet: At the start of 2009, the economy slowed to a deep recession. How did that affect your company’s performance? More specifically, what affect did it have on demand for your goods and services, if any?
PR: While we were sad to see some small business that used our service terminate their operations, we managed to pick up business from larger corporations who were looking to outsource their reception services. So, while the economy was not great, we still managed to grow our client base.
TMCnet: Talk to us about the major news item – whether it was a new product, an acquisition or something else – in your market segment this year?
PR: As I previously mentioned, we joined forces with AnsweringService.com. By doing so, ReceptionHQ has helped their clients gain tools from our great technology and service. We also have alot of exciting new products that we are planning to release this year and have some great companies that we are currently in negotiations.
TMCnet: With signs that the economy is pulling out of the recession, what are you expecting in 2010?
PR: We are really excited about 2010. The economy seems to be recovering and we are seeing that directly in our customer numbers on the increase so I believe it is going to be a great year for us! We are also looking to launch our services in other countries so that is going to be fantastic expanding in to new markets.
