The new module has been introduced as an ideal solution for offices managing high call volumes and can replace an office receptionist by monitoring and dispatching incoming calls.

The GXP2020EXT, available now for a list price of $95, enhances both the existing GXP2020 and GXP2010 Enterprise IP Phones with more functionality needed in today's businesses.

"The GXP2020EXT will add a wealth of functionality and versatility to the GXP2020 and GXP2010 phones," said David Li (News - Alert), CEO of Grandstream Networks.

"Combined with the above IP phones, it provides an excellent solution for the busy office environment, call centers, and office receptionists where simultaneous calls need to be attended to quickly and easily. We are very pleased to announce this product as a complementary addition to our GXP2020 and GXP2010 phones."

Looks-wise, the new module is like the other GXP enterprise phones and includes 56 programmable buttons or 112 if two extension modules are used together. Each of the modules programmable buttons also support traditional call features like busy lamp field, busy line answer, conference, call transfer, forward, pick up.

Commenting on Grandstream's innovation in building this plug and play product, Lasse Larson of Migrax, a Grandstream distributor in Sweden, said, "The GXP2020EXT is a perfect complement aesthetically and installation wise for the GXP2020 and GXP2010 enterprise phones."

"We are sure that the GXP2020EXT is going to add to the growing popularity in the GXP2020 and GXP2010 models in the SMB/ enterprise market space," said Larson.

Grandstream is taking part in the current INTERENT TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO East happening in Miami, Florida where they are demonstrating new multimedia devices that complement their existing product line and showcasing new accessories. Check them out at booth #723.
