Webinar: Grandstream, 5Linx and Vidtel Discuss How to Implement IP Video Solutions

By Michelle Robart, TMCnet Editor

With IP video telephony, companies gain a way to reduce their operation costs, streamline communications and enhance their service to customers. IP video solutions also provide an eco-friendly way for businesses to maintain communication between all staff members.

However, companies looking for a reliable and affordable IP video telephony service provider often realize that it’s easy said then done.

To educate companies about the expanding IP Video carrier market and how to adopt IP video telephony solutions in your business, there will be a live Webinar held on Tuesday, January 27th, 2009 at 11:00 AM EST/ 8:00 AM PST.

The Webinar, entitled, “Don’t Miss: 5 Ways Service Providers Can Expand Their Businesses Using Premise Equipment: The Point of Consumption Starts with Grandstream Networks (News - Alert),” will be hosted by three innovators in the IP video communications industry, Grandstream Networks, 5Linx and Vidtel.

Speakers for the event include W. Khris Kendrick, senior director of business development, Grandstream Networks; Scott Wharton, founder and chief executive officer, Vidtel (News - Alert); and Michael Machonkin, vice president of marketing, 5Linx. The Webinar will be monitored by Technology Marketing Corporation’s Group Managing Editor, Erik Linask (News - Alert).

W. Khris Kendrick brings more than 19 years experience to his role as senior director of Business Development at Grandstream Networks. In this key role, Kendrick is reponsible for CPE business strategy and partner relationships. Before joining Grandstream Networks, he served as the senior business development manager for Motorola’s (News - Alert) Core Networks Division, and was oversaw business strategies for IMS, Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) and managed third-party IMS ecosystem relationships. He also played an important role in the deployment of the first and largest IMS WiMax network.

Scott Wharton has been recognized as a leader in the VoIP industry for over 13 years.
From 1999 to early 2008, he served as the vice president of marketing at BroadSoft (News - Alert), an innovative developer and marketer of VoIP application servers, which also handle video IP calling. He helped establish BroadSoft's global leadership in the VoIP applications market.

Michael Machonkin has spent the last 15 years of his career in the telecommunications industry having held various sales and leadership roles. Machonkin has managed teams across numerous sales channels and functional areas making his background ideal for 5LINX (News - Alert).

Erik Linask manages the daily operation of TMCnet, which delivers news, information, videos, white papers, podcasts, and more to three million visitors each month. He is also a contributor to TMCnet as well as TMC’s (News - Alert) IP Communications publications. Before he joined the TMC team, he was managing editor at Global Custodian, a global securities services publication, where he also oversaw the magazine’s survey research.
Serving the IP video carrier market, Grandstream, 5Linx and Vidtel are companies skilled in developing their network for IP video communication. They have launched global networks offering customers superior QoS and high-quality endpoints to facilitate high touch communication.

Even as other businesses are downsizing in the current global economic climate, these innovative companies are forging ahead and plan to continue expanding their global footprint in 2009 and the future.
