Established in 1999, Iristel is a global provider of voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Direct Inward Dialing (DID) services with its headquarters in Toronto, Canada. The DID company is now talking about giving Canadians a local presence outside Canada. Iristel has generated International virtual numbers that are easy to use, according to the service provider.
The company said that an International virtual number can be forwarded to user’s Iristel VoIP line, to a regular landline, or even to your mobile phone number. Per Iristel, once the subscriber is assigned a new number, the user can start receiving unlimited phone calls, by paying only a monthly fixed rate.
The company said that no Internet, computer or any additional equipment is required. For example, according to Iristel, a Toronto based subscriber with family and customer links in the United Kingdom can get a London number in addition to the Toronto number. As a result, UK callers can reach Toronto based subscribers paying only local rates.
The company said that only 3 simple steps are needed to get started with this International service with local rates.
First, choose the phone number that you wish to receive phone calls on. Second, send your friends and business associates in the desired country your contact number. And third, when this is done, “they will be able to call you paying only local phone rates.”
Iristel said, that one time set-up fee is only $15.00. However, for non-Broadfone subscribers, a $8.00/month recurring charge is applicable. Additional fees may apply for long distance, said Iristel.
Meanwhile, Iristel has become the worldwide exclusive distributer for Algeria numbers. With Iristel’s ALGERIA CONNECT offer, phone calls from Algeria can be received by the subscribers regardless of where they are located in the world, using an Algerian virtual phone number, said Iristel. It gives the subscriber a virtual presence in Algeria, said Iristel.
Recently, Iristel sponsored TMC’s (News - Alert), a global, integrated media company, DID channel as the newest addition to the TMCnet Online Community program. The DID (Direct Inward Dialing) Channel is designed for decision-makers from service providers and enterprises seeking information regarding choosing the best methods of Inbound DID services for carriers, call centers and reseller service providers.
