Real estate professionals will also be able to search multiple listing service (MLS) data directly from the Internet and view and complete range of searchable criteria.
The eKEY and eDATA Mobile solution will enable real estate agents to access, manage and search listed properties using BlackBerry smartphones. This capability is designed to save them time and increase productivity in this ultra competitive market.
To ensure it is optimized for use on the BlackBerry Browser, the new eDATA Mobile application will provide access to updated MLS listings, agent roster information, real-time showing reports, customizable searching, mapping and other Web-based competitive intelligence.
"These new mobile products offer added flexibility and convenience for the many real estate professionals who currently use, or want to use, BlackBerry smartphones for their business communication," said Jeff Antrican, vice president, GE Security real estate sales, in a Wednesday statement.
"We're pleased to work with GE Security to help bring eKEY and eDATA Mobile software to BlackBerry smartphones,” said Jeff McDowell, vice president, global alliances at Research In Motion, in Wednesday’s statement.
Real estate professionals are some of the most mobile professionals in the world. As such, they need to be able to access critical information while on the go. This capability can make the difference between losing and closing a sale.
eKEY and eDATA Mobile for BlackBerry smartphones are expected to be available by the end of 2008.
