911 Enable Director Lev Deich Part of 'Great E911 Debate'

By Tammy Wolf, TMCnet Web Editor

For the last decade, Mark Fletcher, product manager for emergency services at Avaya (News - Alert), has focused much of his efforts on spreading the word on E911 for the enterprise user, explaining how it works and how it should be properly managed, and revealing the ins and outs of how to develop and manage a cost-effective E911 hosted solution.

Equipped with an arsenal of knowledge, and having had the chance to work with several industry vendors for Avaya’s own feature set, Fletcher has decided to take things to the next level. During the International Avaya Users Group’s Eastern connect conference, scheduled Nov. 6 to 9 in Newport, R.I., Fletcher will host the first-ever “Great E911 Debate”, in which E911 experts from some of the industry’s most prominent companies will take on the toughest questions regarding E911.

911 Services leader 911 Enable (News - Alert) has landed its own part in the “Great E911 Debate,” taking place Nov. 7, at the Hyatt Regency Newport on Goat Island. 911 Enable Director Lev Deich, along with fellow industry insiders Bill Svien of 911 ETC, Tim Kenyon of Conveyant Systems, and Ken Rosko of RedSky (News - Alert) Technologies, will take to the stage to discuss, in detail, how E911 truly works, and answer some of the most pressing questions facing enterprise IP telephony deployments today.

Deich has been part of 911 Enable since its inception in 2005 and currently serves as the company’s technical director, overseeing day-to-day operations and ongoing business development.

In addition to moderated questions presented by Fletcher himself, the panel will also answer pre-submitted questions from the public, which can be sent to Fletcher by e-mailing [email protected] prior to the conference. The debate will also be preceded by a keynote speech from Fletcher, entitled “Flirting with Disaster: Maintaining Business Continuity in the Modern Enterprise,” in which he will share his views on what steps today’s businesses should take to ensure continuity in the event of a disruption.
