With Help from 911 Enable, GTRI Delivers Superior E911 Capabilities to Clients

By Tammy Wolf, TMCnet Web Editor

The saying, “You’re known by the company you keep,” applies to businesses, of course, which is why leading network consulting firm Global Technology Resources Inc. (GTRI), recently partnered with 911 Enable (News - Alert) to help meet E911 requirements for its clients.

As a solutions provider for data centers, unified communications and mobility, GTRI needed to ensure its offerings matched its commitment to addressing business-related technology needs and sourcing new and improved communications solutions. With the acknowledgement of widespread E911 legislation and the limitations related to IP telephony in an emergency situation, GTRI required a solution that would easily and cost-effectively resolve several key challenges.

A Cisco (News - Alert) Gold Partner, GTRI turned to 911 services company 911 Enable in its search for a superior E911 solution for Cisco IP communications systems.

“We started looking around for E911 solutions – and 911 Enable was at the top of the list,” said Paul Beamer, technical consultant for GTRI, according to a case study released by 911 Enable. “Our clients have limited time to spend optimizing and maintaining an E911 solution. That is our job, and 911 Enable makes it easier for us to deliver – especially for Cisco deployments.”

Therefore, GTRI partnered with 911 Enable to offer 911 Enable’s suite of products and services to help their clients meet their E911 requirements. 911 Enable’s Emergency Gateway (News - Alert) and Emergency Routing Service are resilient and reliable E911 solutions that provide the capabilities needed by today’s organizations, and have helped GTRI’s customers to:

  • Automate administrative duties to simply E911 management;
  • Immediately notify security personnel of emergency calls as soon as they are placed;
  • Deliver 911 calls to Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) across the U.S. and Canada.

With several solutions now in place, GTRI and 911 Enable continue to partner to provide reliable and resilient E911 solutions to meet the ever-changing needs of their shared clients.
