911 Enable's Emergency Gateway Interoperable with Alcatel-Lucent, Genesys Platforms

By Tammy Wolf, TMCnet Web Editor

A pioneer in E911 services for IP telephony, 911 Enable has certified its Emergency Gateway solution interoperable with Alcatel-Lucent’s OmniPCX Enterprise 9.1 and Genesys’ (News - Alert) SIP Server 8.0. In doing so, 911 Enable has also become a member of the Alcatel-Lucent Partner Program (AAPP) for the development of ground-breaking applications based on advanced APIs.

The Emergency Gateway (News - Alert) serves as an on site-application that automates and simplifies the management of E911. Available as a hardware appliance for large enterprises or as a virtual appliance for small- to medium-sized organizations, the Emergency Gateway includes automatic IP phone discovery, security desk routing and notification; reporting and monitoring tools; as well as 911 call recording functionality.

911 Enable (News - Alert) also offers its Emergency Routing Service, which delivers 911 calls and location data to PSAPS across the U.S. and Canada.

Both the Emergency Routing Service and the Emergency Gateway can be combined or used separately for functionality in any workplace scenario. Thus, organizations can customize the E911 solution that best fits their needs.

“911 Enable is excited to work with Alcatel-Lucent (News - Alert) to deliver simple to deploy, easy to manage E911 solutions for their innovative IP telephony and SIP platforms,” said Lev Deich, director of 911 Enable. “Organizations using Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise Communications or Genesys solutions can deploy our complete, end-to-end E911 solution to cost-effectively keep users safe and meet all state and local E911 regulations.”

As a member of the AAPP program, 911 Enable will take part in the promotion of application partnerships and initiatives and the testing and verification of a range of third-party applications; and benefit from interfacing with Alcatel-Lucent’s range of standards-based APIs and networking interfaces.
