Talk of racing-inspired motorcycles with unique engine features, classic designs, advanced engineering, and unmatched sophistication, and the first name that strikes you in all probability is Ducati. Not surprisingly then, product designers from global companies are drawing inspiration from the superior engineering and cutting-edge design using which Ducati was able to built an enduring motorcycle legacy.

Recently SanDisk (News - Alert) collaborated with Ducati to design a 4GB USB flash drive, part of the "Extreme Ducati Edition," which draws its inspiration from Ducati motorcycle design. If you are the type who prefers a mean machine on two wheels, SanDisk’s latest could make your adrenaline rush to really high levels.

Hailed as SanDisk’s fastest consumer drive in the market today, the device sports a glossy red color (the same color found on the Ducati Corse team motorcycles on the MotoGP circuit). Other features of this device include: a 4GB internal storage and write speeds of up to 20 megabytes per second.

This device adorns the same shiny red chassis and black trim as Ducati Corse team motorcycles, along with an authentic Ducati Corse logo on the top. However, the feature that rates a perfect 10 for coolness on the Object of Desire scale remains the taillight. Located on back of the drive, the taillight glows red the moment it is plugged into a computer’s USB port.

Reasonably priced at $124.99 in the United States, the company has decided to launch the SanDisk Ducati Edition USB flash drive in September this year, enclosed with a custom lanyard and SanDisk’s RescuePRO Deluxe software.
