By Nathesh, TMCnet Contributor

Samsung (News - Alert) and T-Mobile USA reportedly have released Samsung Comeback and Samsung Gravity 2, the latest text-friendly messaging phones from Samsung.

Samsung deals in semiconductor, telecommunication, digital media and digital convergence technologies. Based in Bellevue, Wash., T-Mobile USA, Inc. handles mobile communications.

Samsung Comeback is designed with a QWERTY keyboard and has a flip design where the screen opens to the right like a book to reveal the full keyboard. The phone is designed with plenty of messaging options, with support for AOL (News - Alert), Yahoo!, and Gmail accounts, AIM, and text and multimedia messaging. It is 3G- and Bluetooth-enabled and is packed with 2-megapixel multi-shot camera/camcorder, 16GB expandable memory via the microSD expansion slot, and internal and external color displays. The stylish phone comes in pearl white plumor frost silver cherry colors.

Samsung Gravity on T-Mobile (News - Alert) reportedly was well received by customers when it was released last year. Samsung has retained the prominent features of Gravity and also has updated the new Gravity 2 phone with newer features, even beyond faster networking. Gravity 2 will make use of T-Mobile's HSDPA network for fast Web browsing and downloads and features 3G networking and GPS for turn-by-turn navigation.

Samsung Gravity 2 has a more convenient 4-row layout QWERTY keyboard with additional keys dedicated for messaging, including a ‘www / .com’ key on the bottom row, and an inverted-T arrow set for navigation. The Gravity 2 offers a pair of fun color options – berry mauve and metallic pumpkin, multiple messaging capabilities, a 2-megapixel camera and camcorder, a built-in MP3 player and expandable memory up to 16GB and the phone is also thinner that Gravity.

The Comeback and Gravity 2 complement T-Mobile’s existing line-up of text-friendly Samsung handsets including the Samsung t349 (SGH-t349), a bar-style messaging phone featuring a 20-key, partial QWERTY keypad. The t349 offers access to e-mail, instant-messaging and picture, video and text messaging, as well as several multimedia features.

Paul Golden, chief marketing officer for Samsung Mobile, said that the new messaging centric phones are fun and easy to match the needs of its customers. The Comeback, Gravity 2 and t349 offer the best in messaging, fun color options and access to customers’ favorite multimedia features.

T-Mobile said that its customers send and receive a lot of text messages, therefore it is important for them to offer phones that are specially designed for messaging enhancing the way customers communicate.

Samsung recently announced the availability of the Mondi Device in the U.S and T-Mobile selected Amdocs for a four-year managed services agreement.
