Officials at Sony Ericsson say their AB900, a new Bluetooth Car Speakerphone, allows users to play favorite tracks loud and proud while safely making and receiving calls.
Pictured below, the AB900, a new wireless car speakerphone, helps stream users’ favorite songs and broadcasts them over a car audio system using an RDS feature which searches for a decent frequency. Measuring 120x69x16mm and weighing 117g, the device has a call-handling display, easy access to your five favorite numbers, voicemail at the touch of a button, a Visor strap, Bluetooth version/profile A2DP/2.0+EDR, with a range of 10m, 6 keys, 26 hours of talk time and 40 days of standby time.
It also contains features such as noise reduction and echo cancellation and comes with two panels, colored black and silver mesh, company officials say.
According to Jacob Sten, head of the accessories division at Sony Ericsson ( News - Alert), in line with increasing legislation around the world preventing the use of phones in the car environment, Sony Ericsson offers a range of easy-to-install car speaker phones that facilitate a complete in-car experience when driving and talking.
“The AB-900 is perfect for consumers who are on the road often and want to optimize their time in the car, staying safe as they stay in touch or enjoying their music whenever and wherever the road takes them,” Sten said.
The AB900 is designed to make hands-free calling easier and safer by pausing music when a user takes an incoming call and resuming it when a call ends. The AB900 will help users stay connected wherever they are, in the office for conference calls or at home for hands-free chatting – no installation required.
