Digitus Releases New USB Travel Set to Increase Notebook Productivity

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

As the number of people purchasing notebooks for mobility purposes increases, so does the need for comfortable travel with these devices.

Whether working on-the-go or maintaining contact with friends and family, using a notebook in a plane, car or in poor lighting conditions can hinder productivity.

To make traveling with a notebook more comfortable and pleasant, DIGITUS has announced a new USB travel set.

This new offering answers to the need for more ports, improved mouse tracing and better lightning for travelers as well as increases mobility and productivity for users on the go.

Included with the travel set is a USB 2.0 4 port hub with a status display to provide users with more USB connections and a power supply. It also offers an optical USB mouse that makes it easier to surf and browse without needing to use the integrated touch pad.

Also, to improve functionality in poor lighting conditions, the set includes a LED light with a flexible swab neck for clear and bright light where it is needed.

For better usability, a number pad is also included to make entering numbers as easy as with a PC keyboard.

According to Harald Kintzel, Technical Director at DIGITUS, "The set offers a maximum of comfort in times of increasing mobility."

Earlier this month, DIGITUS introduced a Speed Dome Camera for security surveillance equipped with a motion sensitive tracking mode. The camera is controlled by a central management system (CMS) and can control up to 16 cameras simultaneously as well as allows access from several computers.
