Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless has announced that it is expanding its LG line-up with three new devices -LG Dare, LG Decoy, and LG Chocolate 3.

 

Mike Lanman, vice president and chief marketing officer at Verizon Wireless, said these summer phones join the other popular LG phones—the enV, the Voyager and the Venus—to offer customers an array of applications, downloadable games, music and other content that is “unparalleled” in its variety and ability to enhance customers' lifestyles.

 

“By unveiling these devices now, we are giving our customers the opportunity to choose the device that's right for them, backed by the most reliable wireless network in the nation,” he added.

 

A 3G V CAST capable phone, LG Dare features all touch-screen operation, and is equipped with multimedia functionality, VZ Navigator, V CAST Music, and a 3.2 megapixel still and video camera that automatically adapts to low or unevenly distributed light.

 

Company officials said that the device’s photo editing tool features include borders, landscape and a fun doodle right on the screen. In addition, photos can be uploaded to a social networking site directly from the phone.

 

Also, a graphical contact list allows users to find the right number with the “flick of a finger” for speedy texting, e-mailing and phoning, and favorite contacts can be reached with a drag and drop photo interface.

 

LG Decoy comes with Bluetooth hands-free headset integrated into the design. Officials said headset flips into the back of the device for easy transport and charging.

 

In addition, this slider phone also sports a five-way directional joystick for navigating through all of Verizon Wireless' multimedia features such as V CAST Music and V CAST Video.

 

The latest version of Chocolate, the mobile music phone, Chocolate 3 brings with it the “quintessential music player” complete with control wheel on the outside and an FM transmitter to play music through a car stereo, according to officials.

 

The new model is touted as the “perfect MP3 player” for listening and accessing more than 3 million songs from Verizon Wireless' V CAST Music library. The device is equipped with dual speakers and Bluetooth for wireless stereo sound, and inside is a Gigabyte of memory to store the latest tunes.

 

Additionally, it has an option of expandable memory with an 8 GB microSD card. The new Chocolate has a 2.0 megapixel camera, supports V CAST Video and ESPN (News - Alert) MVP.

 

The company said that additional information about the LG Dare, LG Decoy and LG Chocolate 3 will be available in the coming weeks.

 

All the three models are scheduled to debut through July.
