The vehicle includes a Nokia LD-3W GPS module, integrated with the Nokia CK-20W auto accessory kit.
Sandero Nokia is the first compact vehicle in the Brazilian market to come factory-equipped with GPS. Based on the Privilege 1.6 16V Hi-Flex model, this special series automobile has a suggested retail price (including shipping) of €17,650. (That’s about $27,600). Only 1,000 vehicles will be manufactured.
"This car will appeal to a target audience of young, energetic males who want the industry-leading mobile technology of Nokia combined with the quality of a Renault Sandero," said Rodrigo Link, manager of Nokia Brazil’s enhancement sales department, in a statement. "This marks the next generation of mobile connectivity."
The Sandero Nokia car includes an audio streaming function that enables the driver to listen wirelessly to music stored on a Nokia N95 through the vehicle’s speakers. Wireless access is also provided for maps of the main cities in Brazil. Plus, a Bluetooth system lets users make calls hand-free using a microphone built into the upper part of the windshield and to listen to calls through the vehicle's audio system.
