Nokia ( News - Alert) has announced the launch of two new mobile phones to the XpressMusic portfolio, the 5320 and 5220.
Both the XpressMusic models support the Nokia Music Store and allow users to choose from over 2 million tracks from both major and independent labels as well as international and local artists. Users are also able to more easily browse their favorite music and then download, stream and sync it either to a PC or side-load it directly to a mobile device.
Jo Harlow, Vice President, LIVE category, Nokia said, “Our XpressMusic range of devices continues to deliver the combination of superior music experiences and fresh, innovative designs. Today’s additions to the XpressMusic range up the ante with new ways for consumers to access their media as well as interact and share content with friends and communities anytime, anywhere.”
The Nokia 5320 XpressMusic includes 3G social entertainment capabilities with web 2.0 browsing, and a voice-controlled Say and Play feature that automatically plays the music after saying the name of a favorite artist or song.
The phone also includes dedicated XpressMusic keys, a 3.5mm audio jack and an audio chip for hi-fi sound quality and offer users the freedom to access Ovi and Nokia Search 4.1 to look out for and share media content and information.
In addition to the music, both models also carry dedicated N-Gage gaming keys and offer a landscape view for a gaming experience by using HSDPA .
The 5220 XpressMusic model also includes a lanyard feature for drivers and similar to that of 5320 model, offers up to 24 hours of playback time, dedicated XpressMusic keys and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Both models are expected to hit the market in the third quarter of 2008.
