Viva Vision (News - Alert), a content and applications provider for mobile entertainment, has announced that it raised an additional $2 million in funding from Medical Capital Corporation, a private equity company. The company witnessed a significant turnaround in 2007 and the additional funding allows the company to support its growing user base, further grow distribution, and scale its business. Viva! Vision provides branded, original and user-generated visual entertainment programming to mobile devices.

Viva’s success is attributed to its 2007 introduction of mobile slideshows, a new product category in the U.S. wireless market. Content for slideshows comes from major media brands and Viva Vision’s in-house production studios. Viva Vision also produces its own content for video on-demand services including “Viva Vision TV”, now entering its second year in the U.S. market. Available in select markets worldwide, the company’s third product category includes its patented live video-to-mobile applications.
