Splashpower to Demonstrate Wireless Charging System
By Anuradha Shukla
Splashpower will demonstrate its universal wireless charging system for powering mobile devices during the International CES ( News - Alert). As a universal wireless charging base, the Splashpower charging base enables consumers to recharge portable electronic devices — from cell phones to iPods — without the need for wires, contacts, or connectors. The device is developed from Splashpower’s patented inductive charging technology.
According to an EE Times Europe report, the Splashpower inductive charging system is based on a flat pad that plugs into the main electrical supply, called the SplashPad, and a SplashModule designed to reside within a piece of equipment and deliver direct current to charge the on-board battery.
Artzi explains that SplashModule enabled equipment charges while sitting on the SplashPad. Delivering power wirelessly, it can be used to charge multiple devices including mobile phones, PDAs, and personal music players.
